SC MONTANA

* We have received reports that containership, SC MONTANA (IMO: 9311842), experienced engine failure and went adrift whilst in a position approximately 5 nautical miles south of Little Cayman, Cayman Islands, on 1 April 2024.

* It is reported that various vessels have diverted from their respective voyages and a tug has also been deployed from Grand Cayman to assist the vessel.

* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
