* Further to our initial report below, we have received the following updated information concerning the loss overboard of containers from container ship, MAYVIEW MAERSK:

* It is reported that the vessel berthed at the Baltic Hub Container Terminal at Gdansk on 24 December. Loss and damage to containers appears to be limited to those containers stowed to Bay 74.

* We understand that normal discharge operations are expected to be completed by midday on 28 December whereafter it is the shipowners' intention to discharge damaged containers from Bay 74.

*We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any affected cargo stowed on board the vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.

* We have received reports that container carrier, MAYVIEW MAERSK experienced a loss overboard of approximately 46 containers whilst navigating the Skagerrak, on 22 December 2023.

* The vessel later continued its voyage to Gdansk, where it is currently berthed.

* It is possible that Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We are consequently in touch with local surveyors with a view to ascertaining the cause and extent of damage to the vessel and other cargo.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any of the cargo stowed on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
