GSL ARCADIA

* We have received reports that Container Ship, GSL ARCADIA experienced an electrical failure, whilst the vessel was navigating off Puerto Bolivar, Ecuador on 2 June 2023.

* It is reported that the vessel went adrift close to the shore as a consequence of the failure.

* The vessel was initially taken under tow to a position of safety but the crew were unable to restore power to the vessel. The vessel was therefore later taken under tow by tug towards Cartagena, Colombia for inspection, and possibly repairs, with an ETA there on 8 June 2023.

* It is possible that General Average, Salvage and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests
